Stratco's Ormeau manufacturing facility are looking for a motivated, professional and experienced Despatch Supervisor to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused person to become an integral
part of our growing national and international company.
The person we are looking for, should demonstrate a Can Do Attitude and ensure this is
part of the daily culture within you team you supervise. You will be a hands-on person who leads by example. You should be able to communicate well with all levels of the business to ensure the correct outcome for the customer and be someone who is a problem solver and critical thinker.
Responsibilities: - Ensure all customer orders are scheduled, loaded and delivered on time and in full
- Oversee the allocation of yard staff, drivers and trucks to meet customer demands
- Assist ensure sufficient staff resources are available to cover work loads
- Locating finished goods and loading them onto delivery vehicles
- Packing goods into kits prior to them being loaded onto delivery vehicles
- General housekeeping duties
- Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures
- Participation in tool box and team meetings
- Training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
The successful applicants will have the following skills and attributes: - Experience in a similar despatch supervisory role, ideally within building or manufacturing industries
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- A passion to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines based on production and customer demands
- Be process and system driven
- Relentless approach to ensuring the customers' needs are met and expectations exceeded
- Experience in vehicle loading
- Fork truck licence (essential)
